Kris Buyse

Coordinator of Research and Language Teacher Training at KU Leuven

Kris Buyse is Research Coordinator (Instituut voor Levende Talen / Leuven Language Institute, ILT) and Language Teacher Training Coordinator (Faculty of Arts) at KU Leuven (Belgium). He teaches courses at the ILT (for Specific Purposes: economic and medical), at the Faculty of Arts @ Leuven and @ Antwerp (Linguistics, Didactics, Written Expression and Internal Communication) and at the KULAK campus in Kortrijk (Business Spanish). He is also a member of the LAELE research group at the Nebrija University in Madrid (project research, training and PhD supervision). His projects are in the following areas (or at the crossroads between them): language teaching and acquisition (in particular lexical acquisition, written expression, pronunciation, feedback & assessment, motivation and affectivity), corpus linguistics, lexicography, contrastive linguistics, LSP, CALL, Spanish as a foreign language, translation studies.
