Objectives

The aim of our project is twofold:

1. To identify the needs of young adults with low literacy skills in the language of the country in which they live and to describe their multiple literacy profile.
2. To analyse prospective language teachers' beliefs about the needs of low literacy learners and to document possible change in beliefs and performance when faced with the challenge of mediating and supporting low literacy learners by designing multiliteracy practices for these culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
